Critical Ukraine Medical Needs

Advanced prehospital care teams could reduce preventable trauma death, but training and basic supplies are lacking

A small team of medics is working to assess medical supply needs and deliver basic and advanced training. From trauma and emergency medicine to primary and maternity care, more supplies and training are critical.

A humanitarian crisis- what is needed?

Medical support and equipment are needed to improve patient outcomes in frontline areas of Ukraine.  Some of the targets of the Russian army have been hospitals, and volunteers continue to drive supplies across Ukraine to reach the areas of need. Tourniquets, blood warmers, monitors, ventilators and IO devices, to basic primary and maternity care equipment and supplies, are lacking and without support, the need is only expected to grow.

Practical advanced emergency medical training is needed for physicians, medics, surgeons, and auxiliary support on the ground to provide care for both those on the front line and civilians caught in the conflict.
